Who We Are

The Sheboygan Area Peace Seekers started out as three people sharing ideas about the war on Iraq and organizing a peace rally. Other enthusiastic volunteers offered their services and of course the people who show up at the peace rallies are included.

We are of all different ages (7 to 95), all different religions (Christian, Buddhist, Pagan, Atheist, Agnostic, etc...), with a wide range of incomes, having a variety of careers (retirees, students, WWII, Vietnam, Korean, and Gulf war veterans, full-time mothers, bus drivers, teachers, professors, ministers, maids, nurses, military personnel, etc...), all different nationalities and races (American, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Venezuelan, Mexican, etc...), and a variety of political views (Democrats, Republicans, Socialists, anarchists, etc...).

The only generalization you can make about us is that we're all against the war on Iraq either because we oppose all war as futile or harmful, or we're just against this particular war because we feel as though an unprovoked and preemptive attack on Iraq is immoral.

Membership in Peace Seekers is $15 annually, all are welcome to bring their ideas and join us in our meetings and events.
