It is with great pride and joy that the St. Nazianz Area Historical Society announces the restoration of the Loretto Chapel.  Father Cyril Diekeral rededicated the chapel on the Feast of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven.  The feast day is celebrated by Roman Catholics on the 15th of August.
The chapel was originally built by Father Ambrose Oschwald and the early settlers in 1863.
It was very nearly destroyed by the forces of natuer in the storm of 2000.
We are very grateful to the donors and volunteers that contributed to the beautiful restoration.
For more information please contact the Society.
