"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy?" -Gandhi

Welcome!

We, the Sheboygan Area Peace Seekers, are united for world peace and justice. Therefore, being inhabitants of a major world power, we feel that with our country's power comes a moral responsibility to search for peaceful solutions to international conflicts, because of the irreversible devastation that modern warfare brings upon vast numbers of civilians and the environment.

We realize that justice towards and peaceful relations with other countries will inspire goodwill towards the U.S., contribute to the stability of other nations, and therefore will immensely reduce the probability of acts of terrorism, which come about as a result of unjust foreign policy.

We speak and march for peace because we believe that the truth will inform and therefore persuade our opposition, knowing that those who favor war as a solution do not see the long-term repercussions and futility of the perpetuation of violence. We are opposed to all forms of violent coercion, knowing that violence only brings about temporary change whereas a change in ones convictions is more likely to be permanent.

Big News!

We were pleased to bring renown anti-war politically inspired songwriter and musician Laramie Crocker to Wisconsin!  He was involved with events in Sheboygan County and Milwaukee during his visit to Wisconsin the week ending in March 20th (anniversary of our attack on Iraq).  We hope you had a chance to listen to his message and talk with him.  A TV interview recorded March 18th has had several "airings" on Sheboygan community television.    For more event details, click here.
